WALKING
We are only a couple of minutes walk from the South West Coastpath and the Halfway Marker. It's possible to walk the path nearly all year round and there are lots of other inland walks nearby.
DINING
There is so much choice! Here there is us, Fat Apples, Porthkerris Cafe, The White Hart, The Three Tuns, Roskillys, The Greenhouse....and we haven't even gone past St Keverne! If you find a great place let us know so we can pass it on to more folks.
GARDENS & CULTURE
On the Lizard and further afield you'll find a fascinating selection. From the grand gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan to the more intimate sculpture garden near Coverack there's bound to be an inspiring favourite.
HISTORY
Pack a lunch (or find a nice tea room or cosy pub) and go exploring. Standing stones, Bronze age settlements, pirates, WWII buildings, Helston Railway (we are members of this fascinating project if you'd like more information) - just ask us for inspiration.
AT SEA AND IN THE AIR
Living by the sea means we get to see some fascinating vessels - tall ships, naval ships, submarines (!), research boats and more from around the world. It's a great view from the dining room so you never know what may sail into view! Explore the coast and the Helford river from the sea by kayak or take a boat trip.
If you're interested in planes RNAS Culdrose isn't too far away at Helston. There's also the historic Predannack Airfield close to Culdrose.
WILDLIFE
You’ll find an incredible array of wildlife on the Lizard - bring your binoculars but always remember to keep a safe distance and respect the wildlife you encounter, as this is their home.
CRAFTS
All for sale here including table centrepieces, made to order, which can be bought as complete or separate items. Please email or 'phone for further information.
